'My highwayman': Woman Driving in the Middle of the Highway Sees a Strange ‘Squishy Orange Thing,’ Pulls Over and Ends up Rescuing a 3-Week-Old Orange Kitten
It's difficult to spot anything when you're flying down a busy interstate. Highways are not meant for cars to stop and go all the time, it's meant to be a faster way to get from one place to another. So when you do have to pull over, it's a bit scary. Anyone who has had to wait on the side of the highway knows how scary it is being that close to cars speeding by.
So when a lady spotted a strange squishy orange thing on the side of the road, she risked a lot by quickly pulling over—especially because she was in the middle lane! When she pulled over, what she saw pulled her heartstrings. There was the tiniest little orange kitten, no more than a couple of weeks old. She immediately loaded him up into her car, went straight to Petco, and even made a vet appointment for the following day. Now named Willie, after Willie Nelson, this little kitten has found his furever home by being a risky lil highwayman. The rescuer and now forever-mom says she believes that maybe a car that didn't realize it had a family in its engine drove by and he was the only sibling to fall out because no other cat was in sight. But lucky for him, he's now living the best life! See the adorableness for yourself below!
